Dalla lingua della madre alla lingua materna, ovvero come costruire la propria lingua
(From the mother tongue to mother language, or how to choose each proper language)

Juan Eduardo Tesone

SUMMARY

If we accept the idea that during the passage from one language to another, polyglots enrich their preconscious with new word presentations, we should ask ourselves, then, what happens to the link of these word presentations to thing presentations. Do those two systems refer always to the same thing presentations? Or, on the contrary, are thing presentations modified as well? Starting from these questions and from some clinic fragments, the Author tries to follow the singularity of the psychic pathways of the affect in a patient who deliberately chooses to make his analysis in a different language from his mother tongue and to follow the value a picture of Piero Della Francesca, La Pala di Brera, assumed in his imagination.
